The trip was made at the invitations of the Chinese
Government and the administrations of the two provinces.
The Vietnamese PM and his spouse are accompanied by
Minister of Industry and Trade Vũ Huy Hoàng, Vietnamese Ambassador in
China Nguyễn Văn Thơ and representatives of the Office of Government,
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Việt Nam Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
Under the theme "Better City, Better Life", the
world’s grand gathering aims to tap potentials of urban life in the 21st
century.
In the 5.28 square-kilometer expo park straddling the
Huangpu River, architects from across the globe have joined hands to
set up a "town of aspirations" brimming with original designs and
colorful cultural diversities.
The Shanghai World Expo 2010 will last for six months
from May 1 to October 31, 2010, possibly receiving around 70 million
visitors including 3.5 million foreign ones.
Participating in the event, Vietnamese businesses
will showcase their products on 1,000 square meters of stalls and the
official website of the expo’s organizing board. This is supposed to be a
huge opportunity for Vietnamese players to introduce the country and
people of Việt Nam, lure investment and consolidate the traditional ties
between the two neighboring countries.

Nam strategic partnership for comprehensive cooperation
Comprising provinces of Anhui, parts of Fujian,
Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, Zhejiang, and the municipality of Shanghai,
the Eastern China is one of the biggest economic hub and impetus and
financial center of China.
Over the past time, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang
have maintained good relations with Vietnamese ministries and
localities. Especially, Jiangsu (China) and the southern province of
Đồng Nai (Việt Nam) have succeeded in establishing direct linkages.
During his tour to the three Chinese localities, PM
Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hopes to create a new driving force for the China-Việt
Nam strategic partnership for comprehensive cooperation in the coming
time, particularly when the two countries are celebrating the 60th
anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2010
